Pioneers in cloud infrastructure management launch new software company to build an on-premise, agnostic multi-Cloud Management Platform.
McLean, Virginia (March 13, 2013) Brian Johnson, Chris DeRamus and Andrew Mann, three former IT Managers at Electronic Arts, have launched DivvyCloud – a cloud management platform (CMP) intended to allow organizations to leverage public and private clouds to best achieve their strategic goals.
The team plans to address a host of problems they understand all too well. Having managed over 5,000 servers in five different countries with millions of paying subscribers, DivvyCloud’s founders have a deep, hands-on appreciation for the complexities facing today’s CIOs and their infrastructure and development teams. DivvyCloud software is built from the ground up to support multiple public and private cloud technologies through a single pane of glass, effectively simplifying what can quickly become a fragmented, costly and risky cloud footprint. The platform will make it easy to track resources across projects, manage security groups, and automate the lifecycle management of cloud resources. It will also include robust analytical tools to facilitate decision-making and provide recommendations for savings and enhanced security.
“Today marks the official launch of a product that’s been years in the making,” said CEO Brian Johnson. “All of our experience at EA, plus countless hours of coding have gone into the DivvyCloud solution. Now companies are free to pursue their cloud strategies while maintaining control and agility.”
DivvyCloud’s platform currently includes integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – the leading public cloud provider – and the team expects to steadily grow the list of public and private clouds with which it is compatible.
DivvyCloud software enables organizations to achieve their cloud computing goals by simplifying the lifecycle management of IT resources across leading public/private cloud technologies and services. DivvyCloud was founded by seasoned technologists who understand what is necessary to succeed in today’s dynamic, multi-cloud world. DivvyCloud’s software delivers multi-cloud resource visibility, provisioning, management, monitoring and migration capabilities to improve security, reduce costs, and maintain operational agility.
